Valerie + Colin

The bride and groom wanted the easy elegance of their Healdsburg, California wedding echoed in their paper goods.

save-the-date postcards

Guests received a save the date postcard with a photo of the wedding venue, a winery, to immediately establish a sense of place and create anticipation.

the invitation

A combination of a geometric font and a more traditional serif in grey complimented sophisticated dark copper foil, and was pressed into thick white paper for a clean and slightly untraditional look.

the structure

The couple wanted to clearly communicate that all guests were invited to all the events over the weekend.

We decided on individually letterpressed white linen cards, which were mounted on an accordion folded backing in cheerful yellow. Each card was connected by a by a foil stamped line to give guests a sense of the weekend’s flow.

The last card was perforated, for invitees to tear off, fill out, and return.

custom illustrations

I made custom line illustrations for each of the 3 event venues, which we used for the invitation and the itinerary.

day-of materials

The same simple grey type and clean lines wove their way through itineraries, welcome bags, programs, signage, and menus.

menus

Place cards were printed in velum, and attached to the menus with brass brads. Untraditional menus complimented the untraditional service of the meal—family style and served around one long, winding table.
